The Woodlands Longbow embraces the long standing traditions of the classical American semi-longbow.

Designed by the legendary archer and bow hunter Howard Hill, the American semi-longbow has proven itself as an extremely reliable and forgiving weapon for over a hundred years.   

The Woodlands Longbow’s limbs are trapezoidal in cross section, deep cored and approximately 1 1/8” to 1 ¼” inch wide at the fades, ending towards ½” wide tips. Unstrung, the limbs are straight-ended, save for a slight setback towards the tips. 

Its long working limbs lend for a smooth drawing bow.

The longbow is also renowned for being a very “forgiving” bow, in other words, it doesn’t amplify small shooting errors. 

Above all, the longbow is also renowned to cast heavy arrows with great stability and penetration.

The Woodlands Longbow has a 3 to 4 laminate bamboo core, and along with various riser and veneer custom options can be ordered as a one or two-piece takedown.
